EP Release Party and Thank You!

My EP, "make it be me" is out! Thank you for celebrating with me in person and online. Thank you to everyone who helped make this night possible! A special thank you to "Soulful Intelekt" for performing with me. You are amazing!

Firstly, thank you to my mother. It would be dumb to even try to describe how thankful I am for you, but (I could quote Yoda here, but I make myself out to be an even larger nerd later on) I will try. You watch out for me, protect me, you worked on this when I couldn’t, you made sure that I got what I came for. You fight for me when I am too tired to fight for myself. I would be so horribly lost without you and your unconditional love. You have always been my number one. Tá mo chroí istigh ionat. Thank you to my dad for coming on this journey with me and ensuring that I was happy every step along the way. You have always been a friend and know how to relax when I need to relax. I love you so much. Thank you to my whole family for being a great promo, design, and support group. I couldn’t have asked for more. 

Thank you to Stevi for staying with me, for never giving up on me, for guiding me through what was wilderness to me and providing a light I can always rely on. My gratitude to you knows no bounds and I don’t know that I’ll ever be able to express it. I never thought that when I first started taking lessons with you in 2017 that this is where I would end up. I don’t think that I thought I would end up here even six months ago. But you fostered my growth in a way that no one else could and allowed me to go down this path. You continue to make sure that I receive the best treatment and the best experiences. I am thankful for your time as an industry pro so that you now know how to navigate this area, but I am even more thankful that you made your way back to New Jersey and that we, by chance or by fate, created a lifelong student-teacher, and sisterly connection. I love you and am grateful for you and will never forget everything you have done for me. I don’t think that I will ever be able to repay you.

Thank you to my friends for encouraging me along this path and keeping me sane. For being people I can talk about feminist theory and Percy Jackson with in the same conversation. For putting up with my rage quits (I will win one day!). For singing Phoebe Bridgers with me. For creating elaborate worlds in our heads but only ever recording stupid (read: “genius”) skits. For listening to me rant about the Marauders even though you don’t know, or really care, who Dorcas Meadowes is. For making a 62 hour playlist and staying on eight hour long video calls with each other. For Facetiming me to see Little Women (2019) filming locations in person. For keeping me company in English class. For being in the band but not band kids with me. For never snitching and for loving Tinkerbell. I love you I love you I love you.

Thank you to my teachers for making me a better writer, reader, and person. Thank you especially to Mrs. Cunningham and Mrs. Pesda for enriching my world view and being the reason I feel confident enough in my writing to do this. You have always provided a safe space when high school sucks (and it does that frequently), and I’m so glad to have had you as teachers. 

My gratitude to you all knows no bounds and I don’t know where I would be without you all, but it certainly wouldn’t be here.
